Indigenous Academic Achievement Grant
SHSD Indigenous Books
The Southwest Horizon School Division Indigenous Committee is dedicated to planning for and with our Indigenous staff, students, and communities. Together, we honour culture, celebrate identity, and embed authentic Indigenous perspectives into learning through initiatives such as Culture Camp, Orange Shirt Day, Louis Riel Week, Indigenous Graduation, and Treaty Education. Guided by the principle that “we cannot plan for them without them,” our committee also stewards the Elders and Knowledge Keepers Grant to ensure meaningful, intentional engagement that strengthens student well-being and amplifies Indigenous voices across our schools.
