2026/20276 Snow Removal Tender Instructions to Bidders
Southwest Horizon School Division invites tenders for snow clearing at all our facilities during the months of November 15, 2026, through November 14, 2027, on an as-required basis. Interested bidders are invited to submit their tender on the attached 2026-2027 Snow Removal Tender form showing tender prices for snow removal.
If tendering more than one facility, please submit a separate tender form for each facility. Facilities to be cleared of snow as follows:
Deloraine School Hartney School Melita School
Melita Division Office Melita Operations Yard Pierson School
Souris School Souris Division Office Souris Operations Yard
Waskada School Wawanesa School
The area to be cleared of snow is as follows:
► Bus lanes and staff parking at each school as required accommodating staff and students arriving at 8:15 am. A map of school grounds of where snow is to be piled will be provided to the successful contractor.
► Frequency of snow removal is to be determined by the school division. The SHSD Facility Maintenance Supervisor will approve additional areas or additional removals.
► Additional snow removal may be required as directed by the SHSD Facility Maintenance Supervisor during heavy snowfall or in spring to protect buildings from spring thaw water damage.
The successful contractor will be responsible to have insurance coverage as detailed within the contract.
Tenders marked "Snow Removal Tender" will be received by the undersigned until 3 pm on Wednesday October 16, 2026, by mail, email, in person, or by fax. This will not be a public opening. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted. SHSD reserves the right to reject any or all tenders.
The Bidder acknowledges that the Division is subject to The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of Manitoba and, as such, may be obligated to disclose records (as defined in said legislation), including but not limited to any bid, proposal, any subsequent agreement entered into between the Bidder and the Division and records of any payments made pursuant to said agreement, to third parties.
