Southwest Horizon School Division and Turtle Mountain School Division are seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the shared position of Human Resources Manager, with a strategic focus on fostering employee Wellness and Engagement across both organizations.
This unique role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive HR strategies that prioritize the well-being and engagement of all staff within two school divisions in Southwestern Manitoba. Key Responsibilities Include:
● Developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives focused on employee wellness, psychological safety, and engagement.
● Collaborating with leadership in both divisions to identify needs and develop customized professional learning opportunities for staff, potentially including workshops and training sessions.
● Contributing to the development and delivery of leadership development programs, incorporating HR best practices.
● Facilitating connections to relevant professional development resources and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
● Providing expert HR guidance and support to both divisions on matters related to employee well-being, engagement, and professional development.
● Collaborating on the development and implementation of policies and procedures that support a positive and healthy work environment.
● Working with stakeholders to identify and address factors impacting employee morale and engagement.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
● A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
● Progressive experience in Human Resources, with a demonstrated focus on employee well-being, engagement, and organizational development.
● A strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in human resources management.
● Proven ability to develop and implement successful HR initiatives.
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
● Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with diverse groups.
● Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
● The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a shared service model.
Considered Assets:
● Experience working within the public sector, preferably in an educational environment.
● Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
● Familiarity with concepts related to psychological safety and well-being in the workplace.
