Student Accident Insurance

Southwest Horizon School Division participates in the Universal Student Accident Insurance Program which provides some coverage for all full-time students registered within the division while participating in school and school sponsored activities.  However, this coverage complements (but does not replace) voluntary student accident insurance.  Please click here for further information. 

Student Travel Insurance

            Southwest Horizon School Division has enrolled in the Manitoba School Boards             Association’s MSBA Student Travel Health plan for the 2024/2025 school year,                which sees coverage for students travelling outside of the province on a                          school/division sanctioned trip.  Coverage is effective as of September 1, 2024                and includes Emergency Travel Health and Trip Cancellation/Interruption                        coverage. 

  Details of the plan include:

• • All Canadian Resident Students insured when travelling on a school/division sanctioned trips.

  • Universal Student Travel Coverage for trips up to 45 days including:

    1. • Medical - $5,000,000 maximum.

       • Trip Cancellation $10,000 maximum with Trip Interruption $20,000 maximum.
