Career & Technology Studies:  Energy Production Technology

 

The Energy Production Technology (EPT) program is a new proposed SYTE program designed to accommodate high school students interested in occupations, trades, technology and professions that fall within the field of energy production.

 

EPT is a program utilizing the Career and Technology Studies (CTS) implementation strategy to provide students with an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding and experience with the diverse and rapidly evolving Manitoba Industry. 

 

EPT encompasses a wide range of course content.  Students will become familiarized with the tools, materials, and processes common to this industry through a combination of strategies and modes of instruction.

 

This program consists of the following courses:

 

  • Energy Production Technology 10S

 

  • Environmental Conservation 20S

 

  • Mechanics 30S

 

  • Applied Habitat Management 30S

 

  • Applied Resource Management 40S

 

  • Intermediate PLCs 30S

 

  • Geologic Processes 30S

 

  • Occupational Health 40S

 

  • Management Skills 40S
