Therefore, when inclement weather is a threat to the safety of staff and/or students, schools will be closed. At other times, schools will remain open (other than during other specific situations described in the School Closure Policy). When weather conditions are less than ideal but do not warrant the closure of a school, specific procedures will assist staff and students unable to be present at school to avoid negative consequences.
