Incident Reporting
Because of possible liability suits it is the school bus driver's responsibility to report ANY incidents to the Operations Supervisor, that occur in or around the bus during the course of a daily run. These may include bumped heads with no apparent injury, a collision between two vehicles even though the bus is not involved, abnormal road conditions, or a bus leaving the roadway.
In the event that the bus should strike a domestic animal (dog, cat, cow etc). stop and try to identify the owner but remember that first responsibility is to passengers. When the trip is complete, report the incident to your Supervisor so that the appropriate persons can be informed. Follow school division policy.
